| Marketing using Blogs >back to top |
Blog is short for weblog. A weblog is kind
of an online journal (or
newsletter) that is frequently updated and intended for general public
consumption. Blogs generally represent the personality of the author or
the Web site. Most blogs allow visitors to comment on what has been
posted, which can lead to interesting reading. Many companies create
blogs to keep visitors and subscribers up to date with important
information as well as to drive traffic to their web site.
Your company may be able to use a blog to help market your business and
web site. If you have unique interesting articles or information that
could be put in a blog you may benefit from blogging.
Include links to your web site in your blog. If your blog gets popular enough, you can even add
advertising that can generate income.
You can create your own blog for free at www.blogger.com.
Search over 19 million blogs by logging onto www.technorati.com.
Google also has a blog search at http://blogsearch.google.com.

found Google Earth to be a very handy tool!
(The lower section of the image to the right is the Renaissance Center in Downtown Detroit.)
There is a free version that you can download. Currently it only works for windows users. Apple Macintosh computers are not supported at this time.
