Blog is short for weblog. A weblog is kind of an online journal (or newsletter) that is frequently updated and intended for general public consumption. Blogs generally represent the personality of the author or the Web site. Most blogs allow visitors to comment on what has been posted, which can lead to interesting reading. Many companies create blogs to keep visitors and subscribers up to date with important information as well as to drive traffic to their web site.
