Is a Lack of ‘Call To Action’ Losing You Business?

It’s important to define goals for any web page. A colleague recently asked me to look at some pages on her site. She said she didn’t think visitors were contacting her as much as she expected, based on the traffic her website was getting.


One thing I noticed was a lack of focus, or lack of where to go next. The content was great but I asked, what do you want the visitor to do from a given page, contact you or fill out a form? I suggested a stronger call to action of some sort, a stronger visual showing how to contact you, and possibly a reason why they should delve further into your site.
