I’ve had clients request ways for people to register for events on their WordPress website. In one case they needed a way to maintain the user event registrations with options to send them emails, and accept payments for events using paypal standard.
I tested a WordPress plugin called Events Planner PRO. There is a free version and a non-free PRO version. This worked well for event registration when no payment was required but they don’t support paypal standard, even with the paid version.
Next I used Events Manager Pro (screenshot below) which had payment options for paypal standard. This solution allowing my client to accept event registrations on their website, accept payments using paypal, and view and maintain all registrations in the WordPress administration.
